How will the course benefit me?
Knowledge of how to use the sewing machine is required.

What will I learn?
You will gain knowledge of the different types of zips available, gain knowledge of how zips can be used as a design feature, gain knowledge of the different types of zip foot attachments available, learn how to change the foot attachment to produce a variety of zip samples, gain the skill of producing samples with different types of zip insertion. e.g. concealed zip, lapped zip. etc..

Additional Material Cost
Sewing machines and some basic equipment are provided. However, learners will be expected to purchase their own sewing kit, consisting of a measuring tape, pins, scissors, sewing needles, threads and marking chalk. Please bring a notebook and pen to take notes on your first lesson.

Health & Safety
You will need to follow the tutor’s instructions on health & safety procedures and learn
how to use a sewing machine, iron and sewing equipment safely.
