How will the course benefit me?
This qualification is part of a suite of Gateway Level 1 qualifications intended to provide an introduction to the skills required within the creative media industries. This course supports progression to further learning and ultimately to work in the sector or other related sectors.

What will I learn?
This qualification comprises one unit which covers the introductory knowledge and skills needed to prepare, present and review a 3D model. Learners will study the one mandatory unit, Digital 3D Modelling for Creative Media Industries. You will learn about key terms and concepts involved in 3D modelling. You will plan, design and create a 3D object using a 3D application package and present your object to the class.

Career Opportunities
Further learning and, ultimately, work in creative industries or other related creative industries.

Assessment / Exam
You will receive ongoing informal constructive feedback from your tutor in class. Some pieces of work will be formally assessed and written feedback will be provided. As you progress through the course you will build a portfolio of evidence (eg. assessed work) which is required in order to achieve the Award.

No previous knowledge is required for this course.

How will the course be delivered?
The course is structured in weekly sessions of three hours. Sessions will typically include tutor presentation and instruction, demonstrations and lots of hands-on practical application.
