What will I learn?
To be awarded the Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health, learners are required to successfully complete 5 mandatory units:
Unit 01 Understanding the context of mental health and wellbeing
Unit 02 Promotion of mental health and wellbeing
Unit 03 Mental health problems: associated issues and consequences
Unit 04 Understanding mental ill health
Unit 05 Working in mental health.

Learners with an address outside of London: You may be eligible for a fully funded (free) place, subject to availability and eligibility. Entry Requirements
Before you are enrolled onto this course you will be invited to an assessment interview and an Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) session to find the correct course and level suitable for you.
Spoken and written English at Level 2 and be a confident IT user - experience in using web-based portfolios would be beneficial. You will also need to be be motivated to undertake personal study and homework of at least 3 - 5 hours each week and be willing to participate in occasional online tutorials if required. You will need an email address to use the EQUAL online learning platform.

Assessment / Exam
You will complete an online portfolio of evidence demonstrating how you meet the qualification criteria. The average time to complete this online course is 12 weeks you may however complete in fewer weeks or it may take you longer. It will depend on your commitment to the course. You will however be expected to complete all assessments within the academic year you commence the course in.
You will initially have an interview for suitability on the course.
You may be required to pay a course fee if you do not meet fee remission criteria.
